Legacy Video patch

Legacy Video patch

Success at last! I worked for most of the weekend to get this installed. I had everything correct as far as I thought and realized I was not selecting the correct Clover install. I had been using an old guide that was created for High Sierra that used a Legacy BIOS instead of UEFI which this machine is capable of. Once I installed Clover to my USB installer for UEFI and added the appropriate kext files everything worked as it should. To get the nVidia GeForce 210 working I used the patcher too made by chris1111 called, Legacy Video Patch from github to get proper acceleration. Everything is working natively including sound using VooDooHDA. I have not tested the HDMI audio yet though.

It is not a daily driver but was a project machine that I was using as a router and it had been sitting and collecting dust in the corner. I do not have a use for it yet as my daily drivers are a 2012 MacPro and a 2016 MacBook Pro. It may end up as a test box or for one of the kids - they each already have an HP 8470p and HP 8460p - both running Catalina 10.15.4.

It had been some time since I did a Hackintosh. I definitely appreciated the challenges presented since it had been while since building one out. I had a lot of "oh, yeah that's how that worked" as I shook the rust off of building them. I've built quite a few since 2010 when I hand jammed a config file line by line for Chameleon.
