I've been running a stable Hackintosh build since 2013, using a Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H board with an i7-3770K Quad-Core (3.5 Ghz) and 32 GB of RAM as the base.
I'm currently running macOS 10.14.6 with an Radeon RX580, and now that I'm doing a lot of work from home during my state's "stay-at-home" order, I find myself constantly running out of RAM on this system (I do high-end video post-production: color grading in DaVinci Resolve, VFX in After Effects & editing in Premiere Pro). I normally work on a MacPro5,1 with 96 GB RAM at my office, so I've apparently been a bit spoiled in the memory department.
Is there a board that will allow me to install at least 64 GB of RAM (and even more), and can work as a direct drop-in replacement for my current UD5H? I don't have the time and/or money to be building a completely new, "state of the art" build, and because my current setup is otherwise working and rock solid (booting with Clover EFI) I don't want to have to screw around with any involved tweaks to my Clover setup.
Any thoughts on this?
