How much RAM do I need to put in my hack? Is there a point at which I'm just throwing money away on it?
I'm using an older hackintosh now, high sierra, 3770K intel GAZ77DS3H motherboard, 32gb ram 980 ti graphics. I'm thinking of building a new one that will likely be overkill but I'll be using it for office/web/games. Not planning on huge sound/video editing projects. I'm either going to wait on the 10th gen intel desktop I7 or go with the Ryzen 3800/3900 depending on budget with a 5700 xt, I think.
Where do you hit diminishing returns with RAM with these? I haven't built a system since my high sierra machine, and back then 32gb seemed a ridiculous amount of RAM.
