Stuck during installer boot

Followed the guide from the sidebar for OpenCore (haswell guide for config.plist) on a Sandy Bridge system – I know, it's ancient hardware, using legacy boot.

So, the installer starts to load. When the apple logo first shows up on the light grey background, the progress quickly moves to 50% and then stops. And it ends there. I added the XHCI-unsupported.kext, and now it fails after about 40%.

How can I find out what is going wrong?

Hardware:
gigabyte GA-P67A-UD4
Intel Core i5 2500k
AMD Readon HD 6970
Crucial MX500 1TB SSD

Like I said, I know the hardware is ancient :)
