Hi all,
So looking for opinion recommendation on path forward to Success' href='/2020/12/install-macos-catalina-on-supported-pc.html'>Catalina. My Current Setup is as follows
OS: Success' href='/2020/12/install-macos-mojave-on-supported-pc.html'>Mojave latest
Motherboard: Gigabyte z97x-UD5H
GPU: AMD RX480
HD: Lots, plus have a M.2 Crucial P.1 1TB. Should work and yes know not optimal MBD
Boot: Clover + current kexts
Audio: working
Bluetooth: Working via PCI card native support . Broadcom ; firmware v150 c9317
So I did attempt to do Success' href='/2020/12/install-macos-catalina-on-supported-pc.html'>Catalina update, but made an oops and thought WEG and Liliu where updated and ended up having to revert. After that started to wonder would it be better to do a clean install on the M.2. Doing a clean install is not so much the problem as I need to be able to migrate my old setup to the new setup and much as possible (Apps, etc...).
So is it better to go thru effort to setup the clean install, versus upgrade the Clover install? What issues might I run into restoring Time Machine Backup to Success' href='/2020/12/install-macos-catalina-on-supported-pc.html'>Catalina for Apps and such? Besides what is mentioned in the OpenCore guides, does anybody know of specific gotchas for this Motherboard?
Thanks again for any suggestions/insight
