How are Thinkpad displays compared to macBooks?

Hi,

people who owned both a macBook and a Thinkpad, how are their displays in comparison? Something like a X1 Carbon gen 5/6/7 1440p compared to the recent macBooks. How do they compare in terms of color accuracy, pixel density, overall quality? Are Thinkpad displays in general good for color work?
