Hello everyone, I've really enjoyed reading posts the last few days. I have an extra PC, and I'm interested in a project. I see MS Surfaces working, XPS laptops, and customs builds. All sound interesting/fun. I recall years ago how you'd have to have the right hardware and a hacked version of OSX, so I'm intrigued to see methods and support have improved.
Laptops, I'm curious what is the most compatible out of box. Not a priority really.
I'm most interested in getting my secondary PC working, but I've already read some issues people have had and am a little hazy on whether it would work.
The build is as follows:
i7 6800K
Corsair H110i AIO
Strix X99
Intel SSD 600p 256GB
GTX 1080
(I don't recall the RAM at the moment)
I read that X99 isn't the best for compatibility but I've also seen posts with them working. I'm not sure what to make of this.
