Upon my understanding, my spec is more close to iMac 19,2 which uses the same CPU as my 8700. With several benchmark, iMac pro 1,1 outperforms iMac 19,2 when it comes to DRM decoding, hardware video encoding/decoding (H.264, HEVC). I finally choose to use iMac Pro 1,1. Because iMac Pro in real mac uses dGPU and iMac in real mac uses iGPU in most of the time
When running with iMac Pro 1,1, it shows correct CPU info as screenshot attached (https://imgur.com/5uWCtMu) However, 8700 is not Xeon based CPU. I manage it by using CPUFriend to correct the frequency vector defined on iMac 19,2. For now, everything seems working (except for sidecar, but I don't need it). Is there anything else that would lead to problems when switching to iMac Pro 1,1? Thanks
