Hi people,
So i built myself a nice office machine with old parts: i5 4590, 12GB 1600, AMD HD 7750. It's basically a Mid-2015 iMac 15,1 and should be supported as long as the iMac 15,1 is supported (the HD 7750 uses the same HD 7000 kext as the R9 290 found in the Mid 2015 iMac 15,1).
Everything works, but now to my (bit of a luxury) last problem: I'm a big fan of energy efficiency. The machine idles at 26w with one screen and at 36w with two screens (shame on you AMD ;) So the plan is to inject a modified vBios with lowered clocks/voltages just for macOS, but leave the card untouched for the occasional CSGO game i do under windows. But the VBios injection only works when "Load VBios" AND "Inject ATI" is ticked in clover, but with "Inject ATI" i get a black screen when macOS is booted. Any ideas?
I use the latest clover (5104) and the "radpg=15" boot flag to avoid the black screen under normal conditions (e.g. when not trying to inject a VBios).
