Catalina locks up after login with DP and HDMI plugged in

I have a MSI Gamer Carbon Pro z390 with a Gen 9 i5 and a ATI RX Vega 64 and its running well.

However, when plugging in a second monitor to the HDMI port, OSX hard locks right after I authenticate. My primary display is plugged into the Displayport on the Vega, and I plug in my pioneer stereo on a HDMI port and pass that to a second display.

Does anyone have any ideas? I havent found other people having this issue.
