Apple sold 494,000 iPhones in China last month, down from 1.27 million a year ago, reports Reuters.
The drop is due to coronavirus outbreak in the country which saw restrictions on travel and the closure of numerous stores and a factories.
According to the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT), mobile phone shipments were down 54.7% from 14 million in February 2019 to just 6.34 million in February 2020. It was lowest level for February since at least 2020, when CAICT started publishing data.
