Hey all,
I got into the installer but EVERYTHING seems so slow. Loading the Installer takes 8 minutes. Starting the first part of the macOS install takes roughly 45 minutes while normally it takes 10 mins max. Second part is where it takes REALLY long, so long I did not have the patience to let it keep on running after it was stuck on the same spot 3 hours ago. Now previously I was not even able to boot into the installer at all. Gave me a kernel panic and I made a post about it here: https://www.reddit.com/r/hackintosh/comments/f4owli/how_do_i_boot_without_cpus1/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf . Then I used the cpus=1 boot flag which did get me to the installer. I checked the box of LapicKernelPatch which allowed me to get into the installer without cpus=1. However with this current setup, things are extremely slow to the point where I can’t tell if things are stuck or not. So I have a couple of questions: -what is LapicKernelPatch and why does it allow me to boot? -why is the installer THAT slow? -how would I be able to fix it?
It’s not USB related as I have tried with multiple USBs and they all have the same slow speed.
Specs: -i7 9700 -MSI GT 710 -ASRock B365m Pro4
Used the OpenCore vanilla guide.
Thanks to anyone willing to help me.
