Replacing Native Wireless Card vs Using USB card on a Laptop ?

Right, So I have a Lenovo y540 and was planning to hackintosh it. I think I have most things figured out except this ..

So, basically I was wondering If I should replace the native card or just use a usb one..

Now I did read the guide linked to me and it says :

a) Airdrop, handoff etc may not work ..

b) need separate adapter for bluetooth..

So I don't mind using a separate adapted for bluetooth what I wanted to ask was if there's a way to make Airdrop etc work with USB card. Also I am guessing except probably airdrop/handoff everything else bluetooth related would work using USB ?

Also, fwiw I would stay on Mojave for a while after hackintoshing I think so shouldnt be a huge issue running wifi / bluetooth from USB right ?

Also, In general though I would like your suggestions if I should just swap my native wireless card or just use usb ones ? I know switching native ones seems better option but is it Worth losing the warranty ?

On a sidenote , while I did through the wireless buyers guide I don't understand If I should be using m.2 type or PCIe or mini PCIe for my laptop ? Does it depend on which the native one is connected to laptop ? Because I saw two different videos of someone installing a new wireless adapter one of which was easy swap in m.2 slot other one required removing battery and putting 3 antennas and stuff and that confused me . Can you even keep original adapter ( let's say in and add a new one as well in different slots like Ssd ?) , sorry if this sounds noobish ? Anyway I will probably figure that out ,but if anyone can explain that would be nice too.

Thank You.
