Problems with Catalina and multiple monitors

Greetings all,

This is "somewhat" hackintosh related, but if it deserves to be somewhere else, let me know where to cross post it.

Anyway, I have an old, 2011 iMac, 27 inch. I used the DosDude patch, and have Cat up and running on the machine. That being said, I am having issues with the headphone jack, which was easily bypassed, by using a USB soundcard I had laying around, and with multiple monitor support.

I know the graphics acceleration is turned off, but I am used to using three monitors, aka main display, and then two externals, hooked up via thunderbolt to vga adapters. Neither show under the display panel. I've tried resetting the NVram and SMC, etc.

So, is this one of the penalties for running without graphics card acceleration, or simply something fubar from Catalina? I've seen many post online about external monitor issues with Catalina in general.

Other options? USB 2 to VGA adapters? I've seen some mac compatible ones on Amazon, but thought I'd reach out to the community here, before hitting that buy it now button.

Any help is appreciated, so thanks in advance.
