I slowly building my hMac (as I call it) using OpenCore. Board from the subject, with Ryzen 5 3600, 16GB Corsair Vengeance, XPG 8200Pro 1TB NVMe SSD, used Sapphire Nitro RX570.
So far, I got Catalina 10.15.2 installed, pretty much straight-forward. I have the bare minimum with just LAN working (I have yet to do USB mapping, back-port sound etc) but enough to check things I'm interested so far, which is TB3.
The big thing is that System Information simply says: "Thunderbolt: No drivers are loaded." :(
However, the port itself does function as USB-C and I can attach external disk to it. In SI its parameters are:
USB 3.1 Bus:
Host Controller Driver: AppleUSBXHCITR
PCI Device ID: 0x15e9
PCI Revision ID: 0x0006
PCI Vendor ID: 0x8086
while other USB ports are all showing identical info:
USB 3.1 Bus:
Host Controller Driver: AppleUSBXHCIPCI
PCI Device ID: 0x149c
PCI Revision ID: 0x0000
PCI Vendor ID: 0x1022
Not sure how relevant that is. I was kind of hoping that TB3 would work out of the box but it obviously needs to be "convinced" it's Thunderbolt. My MacBook Pro is showing Thunderbolt Bus 0 and Bus 1.
Anyone got hints/links how are Gigabyte or ASRock Alpine/Titan Ridge PCIe boards being recognized when used as Hackintosh?
