I'm confused about Vanilla vs TonyMac guides - isn't TonyMac mandatory to use *Beasts?

Hi everyone. My first hackintosh was 10 years ago on a C2D laptop, and still rock my Dell Mini 10v (7 years ago) on Snow Leopard, so I'm not a total complete noob. But it's been a very long time, and things have changed a lot, namely it seems, much better UEFI implementation for a Vanilla install, that is much better for future updates. This is what I'm looking for.

However, all TonyMac guides it is mandatory to use Uni or Multi Beasts methods, and as far as I remember this is not Vanilla.

What would be the recommended way to get started with a dual boot W10/MacOS ? I see many guides that say "Vanilla + TonyMac" … I suspect to get kexts, plist etc … but I can't find any guide how to do a proper Vanilla setup. Anyone would be so kind to point me in the right direction?
