I just set up a fresh install of Success' href='/2020/12/install-macos-catalina-on-supported-pc.html'>Catalina on a gigabyte z370N board with alc1220 audio. I was surprised that I could not get the audio to work with my usual goto of WhateverGreen, Lilu and AppleALC. I had set inject to 11 initially, but ended up trying all possible inject values.
On a whim, I removed WG, Lilu and AALC and installed VoodooHDA and audio worked right away. Which I am happy about, but I would generally prefer to use AppleALC.
Any idea on getting AppleALC to work, knowing that VoodooHDA works just fine?
