First hackintosh, surprisingly easy, followed the simple guide from AMD-OSX and assembled everything out of case to first install os. OS installed with everything working aside from iMessage, Facetime, Apple Music, and App Store not allowing me to log in. I followed some guides and tips online and finally got the store and music working this evening! After the first attempt at install worked, I assembled everything in a micro atx case, fired it up again with no panics, and everything was still working as intended. (aside from those apple services mentioned earlier). We had the OS installed and the machine complete in around 2 and a half hours (with time to run to best buy to buy a LAN to USB dongle (due to my LAN kext not enabling internet connection right out the gate for some reason). Hardware: CPU: Ryzen 5 2600 GPU: Gigabyte RX 570 4GB MOBO: Gigabyte B450M DS3H RAM: 16GB TForce DELTA RGB STORAGE: 480GB Sunbow SSD (Will be expanding later on with an additional 1tb at least) TLDR: Working: everything aside from bluetooth features (using dongles for wifi and BT) and iMessage/FaceTime. Store and music work fine, GPU being gigabyte worked right out of the box. Happy with my first hackintosh build :) [link] [comments] |
