I was looking for some advice here as my main desktop Hackintosh that I use for my everyday tasks has been working just fine without a hitch, however, I do have that random itch on whether I should possibly upgrade to Catalina (and potentially risk spending hours fixing issues, if they arise). I am currently on Mojave, though, do folks think it is worthwhile to upgrade to Catalina? Or is it best to still wait it out? I do remember reading a few months ago about various bugs in Catalina, and some claiming it to be an unpolished release from Apple.
My current hardware specs:
Desktop (Clover Install):
- Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z97-D3H
- CPU: i5-4590, Intel HD 4600
- GPU: Saphire Radeon HD 7950
- RAM: 16GB 1600 MHz DDR3
- OS Version: OS X 10.13.6
- WiFi/Bluetooth Card: Fenvi T919 (BCM94360CD)
I do want to preface this by saying I am considering upgrading my entire setup sometime next year as I do know the GPU is aging (thogh very capable, and since I don't game, it is powerful enough for my needs), so I am curious if this system could possibly be sustainable for a few more years in the hackintosh world?
