So I did post a while back but it didnt seem to get too far. Currently I am running an Asus Prime Z270-K, overclocked, etc. Hackintosh working without issues as is.
However due to my disk configuration I have run out of SATA capacity:
1 * 1 TB NVMe
1 * 512 GB boot NVME
2 * 6 TB WD RED NAS Data drives (This is before it gets to my NAS. I have data hoarding issues :D)
The motherboard itself has 6 sata ports. Each NVMe drive consumes 2 SATA ports, so to speak (data lanes or whatever). Therefore, all 6 are in use.
Whilst not strictly needed, I want the CD drive to work, so therefore need a PCI card for SATA boot of the CD drive.
I have tried a few off brand ones but none worked to the point of even allowing the Hackintosh to boot to the GUI.
Any suggestions?
