Hi, I've been looking for a solution to run MacOS Catalina without replacing my GTX 970 (Maxwell).
I think I've found one but I'd really appreciate if someone with more experience could agree with me or correct what I'm about to say.
So my idea is to get a cheap GeForce GT 710 ( GIGABYTE or MSI) and use it alongside my GTX 970. Then perform a vanilla Catalina install and disable my GTX 970 by following option number 3 of this guide. This way I could get a fully supported Nvidia card without the need for web drivers, right?
I'm not planning on any video editing or any graphic intensive work either. As long as Xcode runs good I'm happy.
Edit: iGPU is not an option for me as the i5-9400F doesn't have one.
