Mojave running on HP 14-BS031nw

Hey! Finally after my second attempt at hackintoshing this laptop I was able to run macOS 10.14 Mojave on HP BS031NW!

Specs:

  • Intel Core i5 7200U 2.5Ghz
  • Intel HD Graphics 620 32MB VRAM
  • 4GB RAM DDR4

The biggest problem I had was the GPU. Because of really basic BIOS I can't change DVMT allocation. Always after verbose, it would Kernel Panic. I changed FakeID to 0x12345678 and that did the trick. After install I had no acceleration and not even native resolution. Literally 2 hours later I found out about Hackintool in which I could patch my config.plist for 32MB VRAM. After reboot I got native resolution and full QE/CI!

Things that work:

  • Audio
  • Ethernet
  • Video
  • USB
  • Facetime and iMessage (Oddly enough, I don't have eth0. Only eth2 and eth3)
  • Touchpad Gestures

Things that doesn't:

  • HDMI (It works but the color of everything is pink, I really don't know what to do about it)
  • Built-in WiFi and Bluetooth (Which is a bummer, I use bluetooth headphones but oh well...)
  • Sleep (Kinda, it goes to sleep but it immediately wakes up and then again goes to sleep and wakes up...)

Overall I'm really happy about it, my first attempt (which was a year ago) ended up with getting GPU to work. Well now it works perfectly fine!

If anyone know how to get Sleep and HDMI to work I would love to know!
