Do XPS15s work right out of the box?

I mean, of course I need to install Catalina and stuff, but like is there any hardware work to do (generally, case by case basis is understandable)

(I really just suck at computer hardware, software fiddling is fine.)

Or if not, is there any other good laptops that work easier? I mainly do computer graphics and coding stuff (Affinity Designer is usually the one that’s the most CPU/RAM taking app)
