Planning New Build

Hey everyone,

Been thinking about building a Hackintosh for a while now and finally started planning my build when I backed the Dune Pro case. Its great to know there is an increasing number of new Hackintosh machines being created, adding to this wonderful community!

My machine will be used primarily for video editing, photo editing, graphic design, CAD and the usual stuff like web browsing, email, etc.

List of components:

CPU: Intel Core i5-9600K GPU: none Motherboard: Gigabyte Z390 DESIGNARE Memory: HyperX Predator 2666Mhz 32Gb DDR4 Boot Drive: Samsung 970 EVO PLUS 1Tb PSU: EVGA Supernova 650 P2 Case: Dune Pro Wireless: Fenvi T919 PCIe card

I will not be doing anything GPU intensive at all and want the machine to be as cost/power friendly as possible, so I’m planning to use the integrated graphics on the i5-9600K.

One question I have is about the video output on the motherboard since there is no dedicated GPU. Is it possible to hookup a 4K monitor to the HDMI port or Thunderbolt 3 port on the motherboard and get a nice 4K 60Hz output? I read on tonymacx86 that you need a Displayport on your motherboard to get 4K video out, is that true?

Other than the video output thing does my build look to be pretty good? I’m a complete beginner Hackintosher so any info on the hardware would be great!

Thanks guys!
