This happens even when the harddrive that has been used is not even plugged in. How can a back-up have an effect on the boot-loader? What's the difference between selecting the preboot-volume and selecting "boot from macos".
Oh, and while we're at it, how many times should one backup the EFI drive? I did it two weeks ago and not sure if I need to do it again if I haven't changed any kexts etc…
