Forgive me as I am a total Hackintosh Noob. I've done my best to follow posting requirements and do a lot of research before posting but if I made a mistake I apologize and I'll do my best to correct it.
I bought a used Dell XPS 9570 on ebay and added a 512 GB m.2 NVMe drive, 32 GB of ram and a DW 1560 wifi/bt card with the full intention of hackintoshing it. Yes, I understand going with a laptop for my first build is going to be tricky, but I'm in it for the long haul now.
Hardware:
- CPU: Intel core i5-8300h Coffee Lake
- GPU: Integrated UHD630
- RAM: 32 GB Crucial (2x16) DDR4 266 MHz
- Motherboard/Laptop model: Dell XPS 15 9570
- Audio Codec: RealTek ALC3266 (According to Dell BIOS)
- Ethernet Card: unknown
- Wifi/BT Card: DW1560 / BCM94352Z
I've tried a lot of different things so far but with little success. I'm going to try and recreate them and hope that someone can help.
First I watched https://morgonaut.cloud/hackintosh-tutorials/build-a-perfect-hackintosh-beginners-tutorial/ and got it to start booting Mojave from my USB stick but it then went back to the Clover screen.
I tried replacing the entire EFI folder with one from LululetterSoul and ended up with a different Clover screen and got a bunch of code that seemed to hang on something like "kextd stall appleapcicpu"
I also tried Rehabmans EFI folder and had a similar experience.
Ive used Clover Configurator to download kexts
I've also tried using morgonauts recommended Clover folder but replacing the config.plist from some of the other builds. Most recently I tried the config file linked to https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/wip-guide-xps-9570-hackintosh-guide.259844/
Now I basically only get the verbose boot that just runs or eventually goes to a black (but lit screen). I dont seem to be getting anywhere closer to booting Mojave from USB. Any Help is appreciated.
