dual boot vs. virtualbox

Hi Hackintoshers,

I see a lot of dual boot systems here. I may be a big dummy, but why do that when you can do virtual box with windows or linux images within OS X? Apologies again for my noobness. I'm awaiting parts to enter the club, and glued to the sidebar links.
