Hi folks! I'm super proud of myself and I needed to share that I've got my Hackintosh for Audio Production up and running. I've never built a computer, so it feels great to have it running without too many issues. It's been Macs since my first TiBook 867 in 2002 so I had to learn a few things, but it's all mostly good at this point, (I think). As the title says it's a z390 Designare, a i9-9900KF, 32GB of 3200MHz Hyper X Fury, a 500GB 970 Evo Plus, an 8GB Sapphire Pulse RX580. I'm still installing things like Studio One, but it feels pretty swift. Only issues I've come across so far is HDMI audio shows up in System Prefs but nothing goes through to my monitor. I tried a method I'd found but it suggested older kexts for Lilu and I got some interesting pink lines above the Apple logo on boot and then a black screen. I had to find out how to remove the kexts from the installer Terminal and then she booted right back up perfectly again. Also, also, I'm amazed how many LEDs there are built into modern PC parts. My RAM glows?! What's up with that?! BUT, so far I haven't got too much to complain about. :) [link] [comments] |
