I was planning on getting an iMac but I got an MacBook Pro instead. So I was about to dump my old desktop setup, a Gigabyte Gaming G1 wifi, with 5960x And NVidia 960 graphics card. I’m willing to get a Vega 48 or 56 card or something similar, but will it run Catalina? If anyone has experience with this kind of setup on Catalina, please let me know. I can probably figure out the details on my own but I couldn’t find out if this will be okay with Catalina.
I mean, I have two SSDs in it and a HDD — perfect for a MacOS/Windows setup. My main use will be xCode For MacOS. If I really want gaming I will just keep windows on my 1st SSD. I guess it can’t hurt to try. But the outlay for a new card (which is really all this system needs, if even that) is making me ask first :)
Alternately since I am only doing Xcode for this I think I can just leave the 960 in and it will use integrated graphics for MacOS, is that correct? Thanks.
