Omg. This laptop. This thing is absolutely painful to work with when it comes to getting macOS to run on it >.>. I'm really, really close to having it perfect though, and it's the most important part I'm missing. The QE/CI.
This ThinkPad has an i9 9880H (UHD 630) and a Quadra T2000. The Quadro is disabled with WhateverGreen, I don't need it and I'm not going to bother trying to get it to find driver support for it. The UHD 630 should work fine though, right?
Well, not so far.
https://hasteb.in/iwobupop.yaml This is the kernel panic I get when I boot without a fake platform id. I can boot into the system fine as long as AAPL,ig-platform-id
is 12345678, but as soon as I try any of the respective 9B3E id's, it flips out. It divides by zero, according to the panic. I've been booting with -igfxmlr
and -igfxnohdmi
, because the HDMI in this laptop is wired to the quadro, unfortunately, and I figured the div by zero was because of an invalid link rate, even though my display is only 1080p. Those arguments didn't work >.>.
https://imgur.com/m9LPmvQ This is what I'm stuck with. If anyone knows what's up that'd be hella great and maybe we can solve this mystery (unless I'm just being stupid and there's no mystery >.<) c:
