New install hanging around audio part of USB boot on Gigabyte Z370 DS3H

Hi all,

I'm building on a Gigabyte Z370 DS3H motherboard with an Intel CORE I5-9600K, 16GB RAM and a Samsung 970 m.2 nvme drive. I'm currently using the iGPU until I get everything else working, so no dedicated GPU at this point. I'm following the instructions from https://hackintosh.gitbook.io/-r-hackintosh-vanilla-desktop-guide/

My config.plist is at https://pastebin.com/9bcP9LPA and a photograph of the complete error is at https://imgur.com/a/533kG6b

I've updated to the latest firmware on the motherboard, and a Windows installation works well (on a different drive, currently unplugged), so I'm confident hardware is good.

The hang is coming just after a number of messages similar to

controlID: 15, coreAudioChannelID = 1 FRONT LEFT oldValue 0x30, newValue 0x30

Just after these, I get a number of errors along the lines of

Sun Oct 20 10:38:27 2019 iMac.local com.apple.xpc.launchd[1] (com.apple.displaypolicyd.200) <Warning>: Service exited with abnormal code: 1

There are 4 messages with what look like different components / displaypolicy IDs.

I have the following kexts installed following the vanilla guide in the 'Other' folder. These were built with Lilu and Friends yesterday

  • AppleALC.kext (AppleALC-1.4.3-2019-10-18 13.36.55)
  • Lilu.kext (Lilu-1.3.9-2019-10-18 13.36.59)
  • RealtekRTL8111.kext (RealtekRTL8111-2.3.0d7-2019-10-18 13.37.12)
  • VirtualSMC.kext (VirtualSMC (All Tools)-1.0.8-2019-10-18 13.37.30)
  • USBInjectAll.kext (USBInjectAll-0.7.1-2019-10-18 13.37.17)
  • XHCI-unsupported.kext (USBInjectAll-0.7.1-2019-10-18 13.37.17)

Any pointers in getting past would be greatly appreciated!
