I’ve looked at many guides and have been constantly frustrated. I’ve gotten clover to go through, and initialize macOS high Sierra. But it had some problem so I decided to redo everything.
Setup: - Intel i9 9900k - 64GB DDR4 RAM Corsair Vengeance - Asus ROG Maximus XI Hero-WiFi - Nvidia GTX 1660 Ti - Samsung 850 EVO 500gb SSD for macOS - Corsair RM750x - Sandisk 32 gb USB 3.0 flash drive for booting - Rosewill AC1300 Wi-Fi PCIe card
So I want to put Mojave into my computer. And yes, I know. My graphics card will not be supported. Doesn’t matter to me, I’ll be using integrated graphics.
My process:
I actually don’t have a Mac device, but I have a Macintosh VM on virtual box. It has worked for me before using clover, I just messed up something so I wanted to redo things.
Anyways: 1. Format usb - Mac OS Extended, GUID 2. Use terminal to put mojave install in usb
- Open clover (here’s where things get weird) I am using clover v2.15. I tried to get it from source forge, but a text file instructed to get it through github. Now I made sure to select the usb for installation destination. For customization install, these are the options I see: [click for image] As you can see, I have no HFSPlus tick box. I have to download it manually.
Anyways, I continue and let clover do it’s thing.
-
Now I go to the EFI partition, go to clover and put the HFSPlus.EFI into EFI/CLOVER/drivers/UEFI. Then, I put the following Kexts in the “others” folder: FakeSMC, Generic USBXHCI, IntelMausiEthernet, Lilu, USBInjectAll
-
I follow the modifications to the config.plist file using the vanilla hackintosh gitbook guide.
-
Now I boot to my bios, and make sure I have certain things changed, such as virtualization, XHCI handoff, turned off secure boot, enable iGPU.
-
Then when I boot, I select my UEFI: Sandisk.
Now we get to the problem. As soon as I select my disk, no menu pops up. Just empty.
Before, I got to the menu. I then selected the boot macOS from Install Mojave. I enabled verbose, and the nv_disable = 1.
I see a flood of text as expected and BOOM! The console freezes, my whole screen will freak out and I get a big white “no” symbol (the same symbol that’s in red that has a circle and a diagonal line across it).
I don’t know what I’m doing wrong... I just need help.
