Hello!
I've built a few hackintosh and I don't like it when you take a look at Golden builds, read everything is working perfectly, so you go ahead and build it to later find out things are not as you thought in the first place. I know I know, this is not intentional... different people will have different thresholds for consider something a problem, plus this is a Hackintosh and not a real Mac. I get it.
One of those things that personally drives me crazy is the time it takes to wake up and show screen in the display. I never turn off the Mac/Hackintosh so I will let it sleep when it's on idle for 10-15 minutes.
I thought, why not create like a small thread where we can post our findings?. I would suggest to add as much information as possible, but if you don't feel like it a short message will do it as well. Really appreciate it.
Here it goes my recent Hackintosh build as an example.
- Motherboard: Dell Optiplex 9020 SFF (pre-built system)
- GPU: Intel HD 4600 (Integrated)
- Display: LG 27UK850
- Display connection: DP to DP cable
- Time to wake up (seconds): ~13 seconds*
\This is measured from the moment you press a key or click the mouse up until the screen shows image. Ideally you want to use a chronometer to get an accurate measurement.*
Template for copying and pasting below
- Motherboard: fill
- GPU: fill
- Display: fill
- Display connection: fill
- Time to wake up (seconds): fill
Thanks for any help!
