Hi y'all, I'm getting ready to build a brand new Hackintosh come this Black Friday/Cyber Monday (which is better for this?), and I wanted to make this new boy pretty beefy. I've tried checking as much as I could around here for compatibility and whatnot with different parts on their own with Catalina, and with each other. To the best of my knowledge, this should all work, but I wanted to know if there's anyways I can make my build better, more compatible with Mac specific stuff (airdrop, sidecar[if possible, maybe that's a pipe dream]), etc. My current Hackintosh is kind of a mess and doesn't have any of that stuff so this time I figured I'd check it through with y'all before I go ahead and spend thousands of dollars on a pile of junk. Thanks!
- CPU: Intel Core i9-9900K 3.6 GHz 8-Core Processor
- GPU: Asus Radeon VII 16 GB Video Card
- RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000 Memory
- Motherboard/Laptop model: Asus ROG MAXIMUS XI HERO (WI-FI) ATX LGA1151 Motherboard
- Some more stuff: 2x Samsung 860 Evo 1 TB 2.5" Solid State Drive (for Hackintosh, then a windows drive. Should I just buy one 2TB drive and use bootcamp?). And monitor: LG 27GL850-B 27.0" 2560x1440 144 Hz
Hope that helps, this is my first time posting here, and I'm not super hackintosh savvy (It took me like 2 weeks to work it out the first time, still can't put the computer to sleep), so explaining things to me like I am newborn child would be very helpful.
