Under Windows, you can hibernate and then boot into another OS because Windows saves the boot information onto the drive. In MacOS if you hibernate, it saves the information to the boot rom and if you reboot you can only boot back into MacOS. Seeing as how there is no "boot rom" on a hackintosh, my question is, is there a way to get true hibernation on a hackintosh, whereby I could hibernate the OS and boot into another OS? Does hibernation even work on a hackintosh?
Why? Ideally I'd like to be able to go into another OS (natively, bare metal) and then come back to macOS and have everything still be open and where I left it. This is not possible on a Mac.
