Greetings everyone,
I am currently running a hackintosh running Mojave using an 8-core Intel 5960X CPU and an AMD R9-290X video card. While this is a great computer (everything works), I find it draws too much power just for normal, everyday work. Thus, I am looking for a Mac-mini hackintosh replacement. I will turn my current "beast" into a Linux dev machine.
My requirements:
- 4-6 core CPU with ultra-quiet fan
- 32G RAM
- PCIe support for my NVMe drive
- Drive 2x Dell monitors - each running 2500x1440
- Hard wired 1Gbe NIC (Intel preferably)
- Small and quiet!
Can anyone recommend a rock-solid solution? It must work out of the box running Mojave with minimal fuss (audio, USB3, networking, etc). I don't care about iMessages, iTunes, or anything like that. Price range ~ $400-600US
Thanks!
