I've been having trouble with my lenovo thinkpad t450 rebooting whenever I close the lid it reboots. It also drains the battery crazy fast when it's closed. But if I leave it open and turned on it can last 2.5hrs. So i figured it was a sleep/wake issue of some sort. https://i.redd.it/33tvf5if4hn31.png https://i.redd.it/i7s1wzhf4hn31.png So first I messed with my energy saver settings but that didnt help. I read that disabling hibernatemode (sudo pmset -a hibernatemode 0) can help with sleep/wake issues. But then I stupidly ran this little command in terminal: sudo rm /private/var/vm/sleepimage and of course I got this error
And now my computer returns crazy nonsense battery info, the battery icon will go red at 98% charge and give me a warning to plug it in immediately. Then I'll plug it in and it'll drop to 55%. Then if I immediately unplug it it will jump to something like 66%, and then 7% a few seconds later and then the whole system will shut down. the computer doesn't last more than 15min without being plugged in. Is there a way to reverse this poor decision? The reboot whenever I closed the lid wasn't that bad compared to this. [link] [comments] |
