Samsung 960evo / 7700k / Gigabyte Z270x K5 / 1070.
Had a hackintosh built on this machine previously using High Sierra which I remember not being much of an effort to set up at all (got everything working, including 5 display outputs over both dGPU and igd). Trying to set up from fresh (unfortunately no longer have my old config.plists / kexts / drivers, but I figure its best to start totally afresh anyway...).
Getting through the installer fine, detects the NVME, formats it, runs the seccond part of the install fine too booting off the USB and selecting the MacOS Installer on the NVME drive. When this is done however, the next boot gets stuck in a loop, displaying the attached and racking up the disk number it appears to be trying to assign to the preboot APFS volume. Any hints for getting around this? I dont seem to be able to find anything similar online.
Bad image (sorry!) of output . It gets into a loop of showing a gui with a beachball then going back to this each time, with an incremented disk number (hfs: mounted untitled on device disk8++)
Tried removing any other SATA / NVME drives in the system and same result. Also tried without dGPU out of interest. Any pointers hugely appreciated!
