Dell e7440 Hackintosh Filevault2

I've been attempting to install macOS on an old Dell e7440 following this guide:

My computer specs:

BIOS A25

i5-4310U

8gb RAM

500gb HDD

I don't understand most of the guide (beginner) but I somehow got it install and boot up. When I enable Filevault 2 and encrypt the drive, I'm no longer able to boot up into my HDD.

I think I may have not installed the OS correctly. Any help would be appreciated or a simpler guide.

I do have access to a real mac.
