Hackintosh Shutdown and Sleep Issues

Hi all. Hackintosh is working fine except for a couple of shutdown and reboot issues:-

  1. When I shut down, Mac OS exits successfully, and then there's a lot of verbose text on the screen, but its tiny and repeated over the top section of screen. Then it just stays like that. The computer does not turn off. Is it supposed to turn off? Is it possible to get it working?
It feels wrong to have to switch it off via power button.
  2. If I leave the computer and the screens go to sleep, I cannot get them to wake up again, via keyboard or mouse. The keyboard is usb and otherwise working well. If i try the monitor menu it says no signal is being received.

The config.plist already has FixShutdown checked.

Any help with these issues would be very much appreciated!
