Hackintosh freezing and crashing, possibly due to a corrupt file. Trying to fix the issue.

So I have experienced freezes on my hack, initially seemed random but eventually I have narrowed down the issue to a possible corrupt file(s).

The freezes happened when I was copying/moving said files, or even writing to them (it's a Final Cut Pro X library). When I open the library in FCPx, FCPx tries to do a background render and freezes eventually. After a while, even the beach ball freezes and the whole system does not respond. I have to force a restart.

I am wondering what steps I can take to fix this issue. Any ways to check if files are corrupted? I have tried to get the original media out of the library all at once but it led to a freeze/crash as well.

Not sure if relevant, but the data is stored on a ADATA XPG SX6000 Pro 1TB NVMe SSD. Config is 9600k / Z390 Phantom ITX / MSI RX570 Armor OC 8GB / 16GB RAM. iMac 19,1 Vanilla install, Mac OS 10.14.6, kext/clover up to date, has been completely stable for a few months now.
