I've had my hackintosh relatively stable for years and lately it has been freezing frequently under minor load. It's gotten bad enough to where it will sometimes freeze, I force restart it, and right after I enter my password to login it will freeze and never actually finish logging in. So I've basically gone through the whole vanilla hackintosh guide for Skylake again starting from scratch; erasing the SSD, setting up the USB, getting the kexts, setting up the config, the whole thing. It will work for a bit and then inevitably freeze often and sometimes never login.
Is this a sign of the SSD failing? It's probably a 4 year old SSD at this point. I've recently updated the MOBO, PSU, and GPU. I've tried only using Whatevergreen, Lilu, and either FakeSMC or VirtualSMC but the stable hack was using those plus USBinjectall and RealtekRTL8111.
