I'm planning to buy a 5700 XT to replace my 780 for gaming in Windows. Is there a way to have macOS use the output from the card while using my iGPU (8600k, so UHD 630) for acceleration while waiting for drivers? If so, which SMBIOS would I use? I'm thinking iMac18,3 as it does have a dGPU but I'm not sure as mine won't be supported. Currently, I believe only my dGPU is in use in macOS, however plugging into my mobo's display out forces just my iGPU to be used.
My current setup is almost the same as the vanilla, with a few changes such as a probably incorrect ig-platform-id (haven't been able to get one working - at least I think anyway!). I know I can completely disable my dGPU using -wegnoegpu but ideally I'd like (if possible) to just use the one port on my dGPU for both Windows and macOS as using display out on my mobo causes some fun issues in Windows.
System is a Gigabyte Z370N WiFi (firmware F10 as F12 has issues with macOS), i5 8600k, currently GTX 780, going to a 5700 XT soon. Windows and macOS are installed on completely different drives.
