External Hard Drives with USB3.0 on Mojave

I have a few external hard drives that I hook up to my Hackintosh running Mojave 10.14.5. They light up when plugged into a USB3.0 port, and sometimes one of the hard drives mounts. I have a powered USB2.0 hard drive that works fine. When I boot my computer into Clover, Clover detects boot drives from the external hard drives. I cannot tell if the problem is a USB3.0 problem or a power-related problem with the external hard drives that get their power from USB. The motherboard is the Gigabyte Z390M Gaming. All of its ports are USB 3. Also, the System Information recognizes a USB 3.1 bus with Host Controller Device AppleIntelCNLUSBXHCI, PC Vendor ID 0x8086 and PCI DeviceID 0xa36d. In my EFI I have the kexts USBInjectAll.kext and recently added XHCI-unsupported.kext based on some help from the Hackintool application.

Any help is appreciated!
