Hi all,
I'm selling my computer mainly because I have a Nvidia GTX 1060 (which as you know is not supported by macOs) and because my CPU is becoming old.
I will also play games with Windows 10 so that's the reason I want to take a good graphic card.
I'll go for a vanilla install.
I have maximum 1400 € of budget for my next computer (I still have to buy a screen, a mouse etc so consider my budget to maximum 1250€) and I think I'll go for the configuration below:
- CPU : Intel Core i5-9600K
- Mobo : ASUS PRIME Z390-P
- RAM : 16Go DDR4 2133Mhz Corsair ValueSelect
- GPU : AMD Radeon RX5700 XT
My questions are :
Hackintosh compatibility:
- Should I go for the RX5700 XT or is there another choice ? I thought of the VEGA 64 but it seems to be getting old (but the pricetag is interesting). Moreover, I'll have to wait and hope for Catalina to support my GPU before making my Hackintosh install if I take the RX5700 XT
- Do you think that the ASUS PRIME Z390-P is a good choice ? On LDLC.com (the website where i'll buy my stuff) there is only two (good) reviews at the moment.
Hardware advices:
- Do you have an idea of a good and quiet power supply ?
- Do you think I should go for a watercooling for both GPU and CPU ? I come from the Nvidia world and friends of mine told me that AMD graphic cards go hot easily
Thank you for your time answering, this is my first time posting on Reddit so please if I break a rule or posted on the bad subreddit tell me so i don't fail next time !
