I'm building my first ever rig or Hackintosh. I've got a few storage options that I'm going to be using that I acquired via good Massdrop & PrimeDay deals and work selling off some parts. This is what I'm working with (I know it's a lot):
- 512GB ADATA XPG SX8200 Pro M.2
- 1TB Crucial P1 M.2
- 128GB SanDisk X100
- 4TB Samsung QVO
I'm going to use the128GB for a Windows dual boot drive...the 4TB for media/video editing storage...I want to use one of the M.2 drives as a scratch disk for AE, FCPX, PS, etc...and the other for the MacOS install, but I don't know which to use for OS or scratch.
The ADATA is faster, but the Crucial is larger. My initial thought is to make the Crucial my OS drive and the ADATA the scratch disk.
Thoughts and help appreciated.
