Thinkpad X260 & Catalina Beta 4 working 99,9%! PMW flicker is driving me insane though...

Alas, there are a couple of issues. One is the incredibly finicky DW1830 bluetooth-wifi combo card, at least the bluetooth adapter part. Using the latest BrcmPatchRam2 builds for Catalina, with the latest firmware (12.1.0.1010 IIRC), and after trying a miriad of timing related settings, I've managed to have BT on always, even after prolonged periods of sleep.

Of course, it never works perfectly with all devices, but I think OS X might have issues with certain peripherals.

The other major issue is with PWM flicker. On all Mac OS installs I've attempted on this machine, starting with High Sierra, I have noticed that while graphics drivers work perfectly, I have full brightness control etc., the following happens:

Having booted the laptop into Mac OS, I notice that for a large part of the brightness range, the screen has a visible PWM flicker, noticeable more on grey backgrounds. Now, I know that pretty much all Thinkpad panels utilize PWM but in this case, the frequency is very slow, so that it becomes visible. In Windows, I cannot notice any PWM flicker at any brightness level.

However, after the machine has been put to sleep and woken up, this issue is gone, at least until the next reboot. Flicker-free display - but only after waking up.

Now I've tried every single thing I could find revolving around the backlight control (custom SSDT-PNLF, custom AppleBacklightInjector.kext etc.), but nothing has fixed this issue.

This laptop uses onboard Intel HD520 graphics. Has anyone else had the same experience on their laptop? Any ideas for a solution?
