SUCCESS : Ryzen 5 2600 + RX 590 8Gb Dual boot win10

Hello,

I've finally made it !

Nice !

Here's my setup :

  • 1x Corsair Crystal Series 280X RGB - Black
  • 1x Gigabyte RX590 8gb
  • 1x AMD Ryzen 5 2600 Wraith Stealth Edition (3,4 GHz)
  • 1x MSI B450M BAZOOKA V2
  • 1x Ballistix Sport LT DDR4 2 x 8 Go 2666 MHz CAS 16 SR
  • 1x Thermaltake Smart RGB 500W
  • 1x 128gb SDD for OSx
  • 1x 128gb SDD for windows 10
  • 1x 1Tb HDD for DATA

Everything is working fine, I'm so happy :

  • Sound : OK
  • LAN : OK
  • Video acceleration : OK

I used this guide https://vanilla.amd-osx.com for most of it.

And that video part for the motherboard settings : https://youtu.be/R2u-eG-S2Eo?t=528

I used these kexts only:

I've encountered some difficulties :

  • My windows installation was made on a MBR partition, so I've used this tutorial to switch it to GPT mode without reinstalled it to make it work with UEFI ('Converting MBR to GPT from Windows 10 desktop' part) : https://www.windowscentral.com/how-convert-mbr-disk-gpt-move-bios-uefi-windows-10
  • GibMacos wouldn't let me format the USBKey to install clover on it, so I used another computer to do so and it worked flawlessly, I think that It has to do with a faulty previous python installation not compatible with GibMacos and needed a fresh one (I use python a lot).
  • At first I've put to much Kext on clover, so the installation wouldn't start. Then I've used the 3 kext listed over.
  • Multiple times I've got kernel cache error while booting with USB and got the same while booting with the SSD, until I've put 'UseKernelCache=No' in the boot Arguments (manually at installation then in my config.plist with clover editor). From no on the boot work's well without any errors.

The next thing I want to do is to hide the other drives that are non-necessary in the clover's boot GUI to see only 'Windows' and 'OSx' boot options.
