Still Waiting for root device on Clover, but I can boot with Chameleon

On my Dell Optiplex 745, I wanted to switch from chameleon boot loader to clover to get iMessage and possibly dual boot but when I boot Clover on my El Capitan SSD I get the dreaded "Still waiting for root device" error. My set up is: Dell Optiplex 745, Core 2 Duo, AMD Radeon HD 6450 and 5GB RAM. I've tried changing the Sata mode to legacy and it doesn't work. My boot Args are: -v -d -f -g. I have access to the hackintosh if I need to do patches
