What guide/tool followed: Vanilla Guide(Intel CPU)
What part I got an issue with:
- I don't see verbose mode being honored when booting the USB stick despite that being enabled in config.plist.
- I am able to start the install using the USB I have created. screenshot
- After this it reboots several times, and very very very slowly progresses through the progress bar, this can take ages, well over an hour. During this I see these magenta lines which I've read happens with some Radeon cards, but I get the impression that I don't need to worry about this. screenshot
- Finally it boots to this. I would expect to be on the screens to setup the mac, select timezon, create account, sign into iCloud, etc. I can move the cursor, but that's it. Without verbose mode how do I debug this? screenshot
- Successive reboots take just over 15mins to get to the grey screen.
What files/config I am using:
- config.plist - on pastebin.com
- Kexts:
- IntelMausiEthernet.kext
- Lilu.kext
- USBInjectAll.kext
- VirtualSMC.kext
- WhateverGreen.kext
Extra Info:
I've been running Sierra on this setup with an Nvidia card for ~3 years (using multibeast, I think). I know that card won't work on Mojave so that's why I've replaced it with the RX580 after digging through this sub-reddit looking for recommendations.
